Compared to the AT&T pots line I had before I have a lot more features at a fraction of the price. There is no real difference in audio quality between the pots line and the VOIPo line. VOIPo offers a huge selection of features and has many more that are either planned or already being experimented with. Current released features include all the basics plus things like call routing, a cloned second line (it is like having two lines but they both have the same number), you can set it to fail over to another number in the event your ATA is not working or you have some kind of network problem, custom caller id, do not disturb and many others. Current features that are in beta or alpha status that are being worked on include VOIPo connect (lets someone dial into a local number and call anyone on the VOIPo network free or you can login your account and make calls out and they will look like you called from home), API control (build your own applications to control some of the offered features like call forwarding and failover), simul ring (currently works and lets you have your VOIPo line ring and another number of your choice like your cell phone ring at the same time and I think they have plans to allow more than one number), and sms text message controls that allow you to control some of your settings from your cell phone. Who knows what they have planned next. They are always looking for new and exciting ideas. I have not listed all of the available features just the ones I thought would be key in a review. Vist their website for a large list of features. »www.voipo.com/features.shtml Their support and staff are polite and quick to respond and I have even received a support response from the CEO at 1 AM CST on the weekend. Tim (the CEO) is dedicated to making VOIPo the best. You will not find another company with customer service like this. As others have stated their control panel is very simple but it is very easy to use. From reading threw their forums it appears they do not rush to just get something out. They take the time to make sure they do it right. My current setup is the provided Linksys PAPT2 ATA attached to my WRT54GS V6 router running DDWRT firmware. I would recommend VOIPo to anyone who wants more for their money or to safe some money. They offer a "30 Day Guarantee" so give them a try. Their current pricing looks like this. Monthly Special: $15 Annual Special: $99 Phone Adapter Lease: FREE Phone Adapter Shipping: FREE Cancellation Fee: FREE FREE ACTIVATION (for a limited time I am sure) Quote "All accounts are subject to a $29.95 activation fee (that is currently being waived) and a Regulatory Recovery Fee which covers USF contributions, E911 service and various taxes that VOIPo is require to remit on your behalf. This fee is $3/Mo for monthly accounts or $36/Yr for annual accounts." They have plans in the works to start charging the R&R fee based on the area you live in due to different tax setups in different locations across the country. Current customers and anyone who signs up before the change will be locked in at the flat rate fee (which could save you money). Followup comments:
