I should say at the start that I have used only the free version, which can be used only with their free local number. To be able to use it with an ATA you pay a one-time fee of $50.
But the test calls I made sounded good. You also get a Canadian DID (it's free - no $50 needed) which you can forward to any Canadian number covered by them. By changing the fowarding address, I could make calls to anywhere in Canada covered by them.
Their coverage is to major and even minor Canadian cities and surrounding areas. You can see if a particular number is included in their coverage by going to the website and entering the number. No need to make a call.
My impression was that just about anywhere except very rural areas would be reachable.
If you do enough calling to the right places in Canada to make the one-time payment of $50 worth it, this might be the service for you.
