Just spoke to an inside guy yesterday at comcast in Independence Mo. and yes docsis 3.0 is being integrated and they are working out a few minor bugs right now. he said it should all be up and running as of this summer.
All well and good, but without DOCSIS 3.0 capable modems, a 3.0 network is useless. I've only seen one 3.0 modem which has not been certified yet.
If comcast rolls out 3.0 you can bet that you will see capable modems start poping up like crazy.said by impulse101 :said by Johkal :

I think you're overestimating the time it takes to design, certify, and bring to market a DOCSIS product. With a planned nationwide roll-out of upload PowerBoost in the May+ timeframe, I think talking now about DOCSIS 3.0 is a bit optimistic.said by impulse101 :said by Johkal :said by EagleFlyt :

I can tell you that when modems get certified, normally you won't see that model for 2 to 3 years offered by an ISP for lease or by retailers for purchase. Given the rumour that Comcast will roll-out DOCSIS 3.0 at the end of summer 07, it is unrealistic given that no 3.0 modems have been certified as of 3/10/07.
