Thanks for bringing this issue to light. There has been too many new people in the forum lately claiming to be Suddenlink employees. This forum could easily be phished. I'm very glad to see action being taken.

Thanks for the list. Hey is there any way to add the Suddenlink logo in place of the text Suddenlink? A lot of the other cable specific forums have a logo why not Suddenlink.

Re: Suddenlink Tech Support

Great question and I agree we do need our logo displayed.

I will look into what it entails to get this accomplished.

Thank you for the suggestion JBrown07!

Re: Suddenlink Tech Support

You can contact me via anon mail. I am a lead tech in the LA area. Any concerns I will try to get addressed. If I need to verify that I am for real I would be more than happy to provide cable partner code for voice ops/noc.

[MOD NOTE] this is not an approved tech from the company

Re: Suddenlink Tech Support

Note, I have not heard back from BBR_InsUW since April 3, but we have added another Suddenlink employee to the approved list from our end of things. His user name is Synon29, and he is authorized to help customers in the Clovis, NM area who are members of this forum, and to post on other subjects approved by either me or Cindy B.

Re: Suddenlink Tech Support

Hello,
I'm another Technician from the Nixa/Ozark area. Just joined up to read and keep a favorites list of SL forums/areas so I can keep up with what's going on. I don't plan on offering support, just reading only.

Contact me with any issues via PM/Chat on here. Off to work now!

Re: Suddenlink Tech Support

I am not a tech, but I've gotten a Im from a guy claiming to be a suddenlink employee, heres the IM.

whats your phone number or suddenlink email that is on the account, I can lookup your tickets and pull an account history and see what is really going on. Call center follows protocol just like you've never called before, maybe I can peice together enough info to get your issue escalated. Thanks

Im not sure if this guys is legit or not...

If he is a tech, he is not on the above approved list for tech support. You may want to IM Pete Able to be sure.

I'm also a Suddenlink technician. I work out of the Ruston office. We serve Ruston, Grambling, Simsboro, Jonesboro, Vienna, Dubach, and Unionville. I just found this forum recently and started browsing around. If anyone has questions, I can offer some assistance.

Re: Suddenlink Tech Support

im fed up with my Suddenlink cable internet service.after days go by of internet that reaches no where above 300kbs during the day and hardly ever reaching 500kbs at night.i called the service # to get a response on why my connection was so slow, i ran an internet test and told him the results. he said that there is definently something wrong with the connection and that he would send a service guy over in the morning. when tha service guy arived all he did was run the same test i had been runnning. then he gave me a response saying that there was nothing he could do and that suddenlink inked a deal with another internet company that would strengthen the bandwidth and all i had to do was wait 65 days and it would improve.i dont know if this is true, but we are fed up with close to dial up connection we get from suddenlink and are very close to switching ISP as well as our cable service.also our neighbors are having the same problems.i was hopeing that someone can shed some light on this issue because the last thing we wanna do is switch our ISP.

thank you

tyler

Re: Suddenlink Tech Support

I just think its funny how you guys have call center employess trying to reply and respond to field problems and issues. The only info they really have at hand are there computer problem sheet layouts. I have been a field technician for over 6 years now, and from experience 99% of call center employees dont have a clue. Not really blaming them, some are unwiulling to learn, and the rest arent ever taught. U may want to revise your list.

Hi there,

Not everyone on the list is a call center agent; there are at least a couple FSRs on the approved list. The others on the list are not necessarily call center agents either (I am not).

If you'd like to lend your field expertise and get added to the list of approved Suddenlink representatives, please register a username contact Pete Abel. We'd definitely appreciate your experience. :)
