My packets drop to almost nothing and spike back in the 5,000 plus and in between I lose connection and the network resets itself multiple times in an hour.

I am an online gamer and I can not keep the game up for more than 5 minutes without falling into a lag pit and being disconnected.

I have changed modems... reset and renewed everything there is to do that too. I have a dedicated line for dsl. This problem started a week ago and I can not diagnose what is wrong Tech support says the line is good but when I do a diagnostic the default gateway sometimes can not be pinged.

I am at a loss. Cable may be in my future.
