what zip code in flushing? i m at 11355, getting earthlink 10mb service on Friday with $29.95 plan for first year.

I see your testing was @4:27am, try the speed test around 7pm -9pm see what is the outcome.

I had really bad experience with TW cable modem a year ago, had to switch over to Verizon DSL, even is only 1.5mb down, i m happy since the speed is stable.

herog, that's GMT, so -5 = 11:27pm he ran the test.

9mbps in Flushing is good. Not sure what you want to upgrade for. If you're doing anything p2p or nntp, the packet shapers slow those down to 1.5mbps from 7pm - midnight. You'd only notice a difference >9mbps if you were doing solely web downloading or SSL transfers.

9mb is acceptable, actually not bad at all..

I am looking forward to have this speed on Friday's installation then. :)

its very stable. but I want a faster upload. I use web storage.
