TW - Looong cable drop

I think I am at the edge of the TW service area. TW shows no service available at my address, but service available across the street and one door down. Earthlink insists I am eligible for service and has placed an order for me. I should be getting a call from the installer Monday to schedule an appointment (or tell me I cannot get service). Another twist to this tail is my mobile home is about 600 feet from the road. I have no problem digging the ditch and burying some RG11 cable, but is this really feasible?

Well , What happened?
My parents are in a similar situation. They are 2200ft from the last drop off the existing cable. They were told it would cost them about $2500. to get connected. My mom said "like hell". What really pissed her off is that the main feeder cable runs right under her front yard.

Re: TW - Looong cable drop

They told me I was actually over 4400 feet away and they flat out would not extend their lines. The funny thing was, it took me 3 phone calls to Earthlink and TW to finally find that out. Earthlink kept insisting I qualified for service and TW kept insisting I didn't but didn't know why. When TW finally found out for me, I called Earthlink to cancel my account and make sure they weren't going to charge me, and they still tried to sell me the service!
