[Equipment] Callvantage Router good for anything else?

I have ordered Ooma as a replacement to my Callvantage VOIP.

After I get Ooma up and running is there any reason to keep the Callvantage router? Is it just another router or is it propriatory only for Callvantage service?

The Callvantage web site says we will not have to return them.

Oh, I am using the U-Verse gateway router, the Callvantage is just connected to it as a router over router condition now.

Thanks,

No reason to keep it unless (1) you can unlock it, and (2) you want to use it with an open-access (or bring-your-own-device) VoIP provider as a second line (assuming your ooma line is primary).

What about a Centillium MTA-1? That's what I have. Just a doorstop now?
