Server running file sharing, media , a couple of games, vmserver

500va UPS on the right. Dlink DGL4300 n a motorola CM behind the procurve switch

I am kinda a novice to networking. Why would you have 2 switches tho when you didn't finish using 1?

Redundancy! I have 3 switches on my rack, 2 of which are used 24/7 the other is a backup.

1 switch does all my edge network switching and the other is for the internal lan.

im running lab simulations. the poweredge switch provide vlan function.
the ip330 is running pfsense 1.2.3 which is the same as the vm in the server. the ip330 acts as a staging unit b4 i apply any changes to the vm
