Cisco SSL VPN Secure Desktop + MacBookPro 10.5.7
Hello everyone,
tried to setup a client's new MacBookPro (fully updated) at her home when she asked me to talk to her IT guy from work to setup her "Cisco SSL VPN Secure Desktop". Followed the guy's instruction which is to go to the »https://vpn.top secret url.com :D and let her simply login.
Unfortunately, both the latest Safari and Firefox simply land on a page showing a status bar, and try to download an XML file and nothing else happens until the server times out... Had a quick look at the Cisco docs on the Cisco site and Apple's OSX is apparently supported... but no luck. The IT guy is stumped but he admits he never worked on a Mac system... Anyone here have an opinion?
I don't know what version the server/VPN is running. If relevant, can you find out from the URL?
Connectivity via WRT54GL router running Tomato 1.25 with UPnP enabled connected to a cable modem.
I will supply the URL via PM only.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

Hopefully you've solved this by now but my suggestion is to try and login from another computer from the same network, If that fails too, it's not a Mac issue.
Also, many businesses that support Cisco VPN also support their standalone VPN client for Macs. Download that instead. The client works fine on my macs.
