Why is it so cryptic to get to the tv guide section on the optimum site?

Re: Web DVR Information

I still have to click that Activate button each time I come back to that DVR screen.

You'd think they could have fixed that by now.

Anyone tried this from a mobile browser? Looks like the pages are very "heavy" and probably wouldn't work great with most mobile browsers.

Was able to remove channels.
Yes, that ability was removed for some reason. On top of that, if you already had remove channels, it didn't default back to all channels. You have no way to add those channels back.

I see. I'm looking at my DVR via Opera Mini.

Pretty cool.

Need to play around with it more.

Re: Web DVR Information

works via my T-Mobile G1. very cool.

It should tell you the end time instead of Length before you schedule it.

Game 2 of the World Series tonight.
Shows:

Air Date: Thur 10/29 7:30 PM
Channel: 705 FOXD
Length: 180 mins
Genre: Sports
First Aired: Oct 29 2009

After you schedule, it shows

basically the same stuff...but also
Start: 07:30 PM
Stop: 10:30 PM

Re: Web DVR Information

The mobile link is:

»m.optimum.net

The options are:

E-Mail
DVR
Search
Weather
Traffic
Movies

As you can see there is not an option for TV listings. The options in the DVR link are:

Find Programs to Record

Recorded Programs
Scheduled Recordings

You must first search for a program using "Find Programs to Record" and then schedule a recording. You can't view all shows at a particular time and schedule a recording.

What has happened to this wonderful feature? I used to be able to customize the channel grid and now I can't. A few new channels showed up and I looked for the customize feature and alas, it was gone. Please someone look into this.

And after the "upgrade" I am no longer able to delete anything from my DVR on the web. And the new feature that lists programs by channel is completely useless. Put the cursor over the channel number to see what I mean.

I'm trying to activate my DVR for this but I just get the screen shown in the attached image. I am already signed in and have tried both my logins for this. Any ideas?

I saw and tried that page but it has no effect on the channels shown on the TV listings grid. Does anyone know how to communicate with the right person to get some attention to this valuable feature loss?

from another thread on the guide, it works:

While you're in the TV Listings page, click on Settings. Click the name of the account that you're currently logged in, turn on Parental Controls, and click Edit next to Channels. Select all of the channels you don't want the TV Listings to show and click the Save button. And you're done.

Yes I discovered that after I'd done it - it affects another listings page, which is totally useless anyway.

It very useful to me.
Serves the same purpose as the customize button did.

I meant that the other listings page is useless - nothing like the zap2it one. I've raised a ticket with them, which will doubtless do nothing.
