Terrible latency issues

Hello!

I just moved to Orlando and have cable internet through INC Group. Never heard of them so I was very skeptical, but the complex I live in only offers internet through them or Embark.

A day after I move in I start having serious latency issues. Below is my tracert to a server:

So far my ISP has been no help at all. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Terrible latency issues

Looks okay until you hit 12.88.167.117 (ATT's) Are you playing WoW?

No, I play FPS games. Unreal, TF2, etc. Using VisualRoute it looks like my route goes all over the place. Makes absolutely no sense.

Re: Terrible latency issues

Looks like INC doesn't have enough bandwidth between it and the ATT connection in Hop 4.

That would lead to the huge increase in latency you are seeing.

Yeah, doing a whois of that IP gave me some emails so I've contacted them in hopes of figuring out what's going on. How would one go about fixing this issue?

ATT has be notoriously sucky for some time now, I'm not aware of a solution for you, but if you figure something out, please let us know.
