Well, I'm back to report that my problem hasn't gone away. I'm having sporadic outages and now the packet loss is back.

Re: [TWC] Very Bad Packet Loss in Grand Prairie TX since January
Just an update --- No progress with this issue. I'm still having the problem. The last technician that came out confirmed that there was a problem with my node, and gave me a special # to call with a ticket #. However, when I called that #, the ticket # was invalid. And so I am going around in circles again.

Re: [TWC] Very Bad Packet Loss in Grand Prairie TX since January
I am living in Grand Prairie as well and have the same problem. The problem actually started after the Monday night outage. I've been having on & off connection ever since then and most of the time my download speed is 2Mbps, occasionally 1Mbps (i have a 10Mbps service). I have had the same technician came checked twice but was told nothing he can do since all my equipment was good. What he told me was that TWC is upping the frequency in the whole south grand prairie area to have increase speed. This is the first area that they are doing in DFW hence being a guinea pig and have a lot of issues they are trying to correct(they are now doing the Arlington area). He said it might take a couple days or even weeks before it will go back to normal depending on how fast they could find and resolve the problem. I am thinking of calling them to get a refund for the month as it's almost unusable. I am having the problem as i am typing this.

Re: [TWC] Very Bad Packet Loss in Grand Prairie TX since January
they are probrably adding additional DOCSIS carriers. the rest of the metro already has 2-3 HSI carriers.
615MHz
783MHz
789MHz
What are they doing in arlington for work? I hope they are putting 1GHz electronics in the 870MHz equipment cases.
I live 2 miles from grandprairie. Im at mayfield and collins.

Re: [TWC] Very Bad Packet Loss in Grand Prairie TX since January
They are bumping up the frequency to 783000000 Hz to increase speed so that those with the turbo boost service will get up to 20Mbps while those with 10Mbps will get up to 15Mbps. It will be implement by stages to the whole DFW starting from the south. From what the tech said, they are trying to increase the line speed to be capable of doing 100Mbps, but of course it will be cap to whatever speed you subscribed to. I think they are trying to compete with At&t Uverse since Uverse had recently launched in this area and are having sales person going door to door. This is what shows on my modem which look pretty good but still experiencing the same problem. I think everyone with problem should keep calling them so that they will speed up solving the problem.

Re: [TWC] Very Bad Packet Loss in Grand Prairie TX since January
will arlington turn on the 783MHz docsis channel soon? I know that there is a problem with using 789MHz as a DOCSIS carrier they use 789MHz for 12 SD digital channels in grand prairie and arlington.
hey do you still have test patterns on CH2 and CH120 analog?

Re: [TWC] Very Bad Packet Loss in Grand Prairie TX since January
I'm in arlington (76012, west side, north of division) and have constant disconnects. It's as if someone were power cycling my modem every 2-3 minutes. It mostly happens in the mornings only but is frustrating because I don't get calls on the home phone when it happens. It's doing it now as I typwe this, I'll have to watch the activity lights before clicking post :(
