Novato School Rockin' Blues by the Lake

Support our schools, you have to admit this is a great way to support them. This is the 7th year, my daughter may even be playing with the MSA bands.
B52's and Blake Lewis this year.

In 2007 Sammy Hager was the headliner.

It's not really obvious from the link "how" this will benefit local schools.

I am interested in more info. Our schools need all the help they can get.

It does say proceeds will benefit the Novato public schools

It has produced $348.000 over the last 6 years for the schools. It's a fundraiser, from an area with many rockers in the county/city.

Personally, I am curious how it all got started.
Hey, where else can a bunch of HS kids play on the same stage with these famous bands?
