wall mount rack selection?

In my house, I using a home-run configuration. I have approximately 100+ CAT6, RG6, Infrared, Speaker, etc. to a good sized closet. All wires enter the room through a Leviton SMC-420 (in-wall box 42"x14"x3-1/2").

I want to mount a 19" rack above the SMC to terminate most of these wires via patch panels and house my switches, routers, cable modem, etc. I only have about 24" in height of wall space above the SMC to mount the rack, but if needed I think I can hang two racks (24" or less in height) side by side to increase rack capacity. Any general suggestions? Any suggestions on a rack (24" or less in height).

I tried to take some pictures of all the wires, SMC, and wall space to hang the rack(s). The closet is so small that I had trouble getting a wide-angle picture. Note that in the pics there is a 7' free-standing rack, however I want to remove that 7' rack from the room to get some additional space, thus the need for the 24" wall mount rack(s). Thanks for any suggestions or pictures of your setup.

I'm disgusted and amazed..... that is a spiders nest of doom you have to work on.... but i see signs of Velcro and lacing, so i know there is some attempt to make it much cleaner in the works.

What kind of numbers are we looking at in terms of types of cables? For instance XXX cat6, XXX speaker, and so on? At this point with that much to terminate i'd really look into keeping the 7' free standing and migrating the equipment in the cabinet to it? Preference wise i'd much rather rid myself of the shelves / cabinet than the rack if possible.

You might look at these:

I have a smaller Leviton in-wall unit myself but not nearly as many drops - just a few right now. I was looking at putting the Middle Atlantic units above my Leviton unit for a small PoE switch for IP phones and maybe a stereo receiver to distribute speakers around the house.
