Why is my SSH tunnel slow
Hi,
I've successfully set up an SSH tunnel which Firefox is now using.
The endpoint of the tunnel is a Linksys router running DDWRT firmware.
But I'm not quite straight on something. Normally, my speed is around 4 megabit but when using the tunnel I'm at 0.4 megabit.
If I think logically my speed is limited to the upload speed of the DDWRT router since it fetches the page for me and then 'uploads' it to me. It's either that or my tunnel is crappy? :)

Correct, your traffic has to be 'uploaded' by the remote router, so you will be restricted to that however good your tunnel is.
