their phone system hangs up on you when you try to cancel..

any direct number or do i have to complain to american express every month

revised, from a previous post of mine, still showing...

I called into the 1-VONAGEHELP phone number, heard the options, used the prompt for more options, and said cancel my service. got transferred to Holmdel operations center and a nice lady answered quickly. I told my story, she saw I had been a customer for "6-1/2" years (which I think was 1 too many), she tried all the retention stuff, I told her I appreciated all the retention stuff but my life circumstances had changed and I don't have enough ears for all my phones. So she canceled my service, and reversed today's credit card charge. Phone call couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes altogether.

I didn't see your other thread about porting out your phone number from Vonage. Be aware that if you are successful in canceling your Vonage account prior to the port out, then you will lose your number. A phone number must be active and working to be ported. If you cancel the Vonage account before the port out, there will be nothing to port, since nothing would exist. Grandpa has to tell you where he buried the loot before he dies.

they finally released it .. no reason given why they wouldnt/ but i did change my cc to a gift card so they could not keep charging me
