My inlaws purchased a laptop. I have been able to get them connected to the internet only while connected to the westell 7500 modem/router. I have realized that I need to cofigure the device to allow them to be wireless. When trying this, it asks for the username and password to connect to 192.168.1.1. It will not allow me to connect, saying that info is incorrect and denied. I used the verizon software to connect to the internet. I have used the same password and username for the account? What do I do? It is driving me crazy!

The verizon setup normally sets the administrative password to the verizon account and password. If you have recently changed your verizon password, you might try the previous one to see if that gives modem access.

If that does not work, you will probably have to reset the modem/router to factory defaults, and set it up again from scratch. You might temporarily lose Internet access while doing that.
