Really Weird Connection Issue

I have WOW 8mbps dl, 1 mbps ul.

I have a really weird connection issue...it's like I have a special slow mode that I sometimes enter. Whenever I get into this "slow mode", I have to disable and re-enable my network adapter to get back into normal speeds.

There seem to be certain triggers for this slow mode, but I'm not sure what all of them are. However, I know that starting Warcraft III and attempting to connect to Battle.net triggers the slow mode. Sometimes it happens while browsing with Firefox, also.

Here's a trace route to a speedtest.net server while I'm in slow mode:

Here's the same test after I disable and re-enable my network adapter:
This issue is really annoying because I have to disable/renable my network adapter 10-20 times a day. I am using Windows 7 build 7100. My network adapter is the "Realtek RTL8168B/8111B Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)" built into my motherboard. My drivers are from 6/25/2007, but Windows says I have the most up to date when I click the "update driver" button.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Really Weird Connection Issue

Get the drivers directly from realtek.

There's a new driver for this chipset for Windows 7 released 9/9.

Re: Really Weird Connection Issue

Yea I just found those, and I think they may have in fact solved the problem.

Thanks.
