Outgoing mail settings for an iMac

A friend who lives in Bethany, IL has a new iMac. He cannot get outgoing mail to work, although incoming does. Can someone who is using a Mac successfully email me the settings for Mail?

What is his email domain? i.e. @suddenlink.net

Incoming Server: pop.suddenlink.net
Outgoing Server: smtp.suddenlink.net
Username: full email address
password: user defined
outgoing server DOES require authentication
