Vpn Disconnect constantly

Ok so here is the issue, I live on the campus of my University and they have pretty strict rules when it comes to using the internet. They are blocking Ventrilo which I like to use alot to play games etc. I was told that I could bypass this problem it if I use ipredator which is some sort of vpn thingy. So anyways I got an account at ipredator and I am able to connect and use vent but only for a couple of minutes at a time and then I get disconnected again.

The laptop I use is a samsung q210 with vista installed on it.

PS. I know I'm not a computer whizz so if there is anything obvious that I have missed then I am sorry.

So in an effort to be both expelled and evicted, you want to bypass the campus network rules where you both live and study. (If you are also employed by the campus, you can go for the hat trick and also be fired, what fun!)

I wish you well on this and in some sense I bet you find it very educational. However, and this is the sticky part, very few of us will want to look back on this and say "I helped the kid ruin his life, what was I thinking?" So you may find that most of the advice you get is more philosophical, and little of it is technical in nature.

Please don't act all high and mighty. The worst they will do is suspend my internet for a few days. I'm asking a question for help and please don't call me a kid i'm 22 years old I just think that blocking skype and ventrilo is pointless (the reason they are blocking it is because it uses alot of bandwith according to them, and the building i'm in is only half full so can't see that being an issue) and I use it to stay in touch with family as i'm studying in another country so please if your not going to help me just don't post. Oh and by the way I'm not breaking any laws so don't come back with that excuse. I could really go into one about people like you who try and act like internets police but i'm not.

An update on my first post I got an error called 619 which seems to be the issue.

All I said is that you will find few people who wish to screw up your college career. You inferred that there are also few people who will want to screw up an entire campus just for you. While true, it was not a feature of my post.

screw up an entire campus? ruin my college career? What the hell are you on about. The worst that can happen is that my internet gets turned off for a week. God don't be a drama queen. All i did was ask for some help because of a stupid rule put in place to save bandwidth. I share my internet with my entire building and at the moment it is only half full. Can't really see there being any bandwidth issues.
