[Internet] Dropped Connection Multiple Times Per Day
My connection with BH Internet drops multiple times per day.
For example, after viewing my modems log, I was disconnected on Sept 24th at the following times.
4:43
15:35
16:33
17:33
21:47
24:22
And then my internet was completely out from 1am-2:30am that night.
How hard is it to keep your network up?

Same problem in the Tampa area.
They called after I had a tech scheduled to come out, said alot of people in the area were having the same issue and should be fixed.
Was fine for about a week, now getting dropped connections multiple times daily.
Going to drop Bright house.

I am also having the same problem. My cable went out last Friday afternoon for a majority of the day and came back up early Saturday morning. Since then I have been getting disconnected multiple times per day.

Here's a picture of the most recent disconnections. They're in pairs (ie 2 log entries per loss of service)

For what it's worth.. No Ranging response does not indicate the modem has cutoff or stopped working. The modem and CMTS periodically talk to each other and automatically adjust modem power levels accordingly. If the ranging signal was not received by the CMTS then the modem will re-transmit at a higher level untill the CMTS says YES I received the ranging signal. If not then you'll get that ranging response entry in your log file. This is common with log files and I would not be too concerned about it. There's probably something else going on.

Well whatever it is, it causes me to LOSE connection to the internet. My downloads stop, my online games drop connection, and no websites load.
If that isn't a dropped connection, then I don't know what is.

Problem is getting worse (Tampa Bay).
Just finished another call to support, apparentley they don't keep records of your previous calls.
Another tech is scheduled to come check the TAP and coax to the house. This is their last chance to correct this problem.

Re: [Internet] Dropped Connection Multiple Times Per Day
A quick update on the status of my disconnect issues I've been having in the Tampa Bay area.
I have had a total of 3 technicians to the house now, the last was the lead technician for my area (line tech). MTA has now been swapped a total of three times.
In the last three technician visits, first found a bad connection at the tap, possibly allowing ingress.
Second tech was sent to solely replace the MTA, which turned out to be bad and he had no spare (no phone for 8 hours).
Third and most recent tech found loose wiring at the TAP and upstream level discrepancies between the tap and what the modem was reporting (connections were secured and levels adjusted).
The good news is I have a contact at digital phone support I have been working with so we can keep some sort of history on what has been done.
The bad news, a few hours after the last tech visit, the modem had a near disconnect (Modem starts to drop but then picks right back up).
Have FIOS scheduled to be installed pending whether or not the problem is resolved.

I have the same problem, since switching from Business Class to standard Turbo.
East Orlando
I had random disconnections prior, but there was no way that I could find logs on the old device, so can't be sure this is the same cause. I have a Motorola 5101:

This has happened every day or so since switching over, and a hard reboot seems to be the only fix.

Re: [Internet] Dropped Connection Multiple Times Per Day
Previous Sunday evening, had over 30 disconnects in the span of 2-3 hours. This is after the lead line tech had been out to the house.
The problem that day had never been so bad.
Last night, not one disconnect. I am convinced that there is a problem with capacity in my area or node.
FIOS here I come.
