In that post, Paul Meltzer posted, "At this point we are confident that the system adjustments we intend to make will relieve the intermittent IRC chat access issue some of you have been experiencing, without causing any negative effects. The maintenance is scheduled for the early morning hours this Wednesday (September 9)."

Since that updated I have had a handful of issues with connecting to certain games. One game was showing my ports were wrong, while another wont allow me to connect to their server. I have never touched the ports on my comp or router. Sept 8th I had 0 issues, Sep 10th I couldnt connect. My IP addy went from KY to Lafayette, IN (10.0) or Peoria, IL (20.0). Ive talked to a tech on numerous occasions with no luck.

To test my connection I always use »www.speedtest.net when you mouse over begin test, it would always show Cincy as the closest server. Since Sep 10th it has shown Chicago, IL since my IP is showing Lafayette, IN.

One of the main reasons I have Insight BB is because of the speed. Everyone in my house enjoys gaming, so the extra HP under the hood helps. I havent been able to play a few games now for a couple of weeks and this is kinda irking me. The tech Ive been dealing with (which he has done a super job) keeps telling him the higher ups say its not their problem. Why I feel its Insights problem? At first when we switched me to 20.0 and it gave me a KY IP addy. I could connect to all of my games. I told him lets switch back to 10.0 to see what happens. I was not able to connect, within a few mins I was back to 20.0 and everything works. About a week later he contacts me back and says he wants to try something. After a few failed attempts, he puts me back on 20.0 but now my IP is showing IL not KY. Oddly enough one of the games started to work. Naturally my favorite game is collecting dust.

Sorry for the long post but this seems to be a very strange issue. This is not my area of expertise so I am at a loss here. The games forum said try port fwd but how do I go from 1 day working and the next not (port fwd didnt work). TBH it was from 1 min working and the next not. This has been going on since Sep 10th and I have talked with the tech since Sep 14th.

My neighbor has Zoomtown, so he let me hop on his network to test (my desktop has wifi built in) and I logged right in.
