[DSL] unstable connection
My DSL connection would die and come right back up several times a day. Can you see if there is something wrong with the line?

Re: [DSL] unstable connection
Hi
I took a look at the last ticket on your account and it indicated that there was static on your phone line. Static on the phone line can cause issues with your DSL service and cause your line to become intermittent. Our team recommended that you give 611 a call to have that static issue corrected as that will likely correct the issue. Have you had an opportunity to give them a call?
Sometimes static or an intermittent connection can be caused by a phone or device being connected to the phone line that isn't properly filtered. How many phones do you have connected to the phone line? Do all of those have filters on them? Do you have any other devices like an alarm system or TV receiver that connect to the phone line? If so are those filtered? How long is the phone cable between the modem and wall jack?
Thanks

Yes, they could not find a problem with my line and the static noise is gone now.

1 phone, 1 alarm system

Yes, they are filtered.

6ft

The connection has been fine for months, I wonder why it started to act up.
when I last called in, I had no connection what so ever and I found that it was my router that was causing the DSL modem to lose sync. I had since replace the router, now the problem become intermittent.
