[Equipment] WRTP54G how to disable phone ports and free up bandw
I imagine the answer is elsewhere in the forum but I couldn't find it.
I have left Vonage and gone to another VOIP provider.
How do I disable the phone ports and free up the bandwith on the Linksys WRTP54g?
With my new VOIP provider router behind the WRTP54g I can hear the callers but they can't hear me.
I'm not sure but I am thinking it is because I have 2 active VoIP routers fighting for the same bandwidth.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: [Equipment] WRTP54G how to disable phone ports and free up b
Your problem is more likely to be caused by cascaded NAT and port forwarding issues than from a "bandwidth" issue. If you are not using the Vonage service, the Vonage/Linksys WRTP54G phone ports are not consuming any "bandwidth".
Is there some specific reason that you placed your current VoIP ATA behind the Vonage/Linksys WRTP54G? Taking the Vonage/Linksys WRTP54G totally out of the picture or putting it behind your current active VoIP ATA if you are continuing to use the Vonage/Linksys WRTP54G as a WAP would likely solve your problems. »Wireless Networking Forum FAQ »Using a Wireless Router as an Access Point will show you how to use a wireless router as a wireless access point.
If for some reason you absolutely must operate your current VoIP router behind the Vonage/Linksys WRTP54G, then enabling UPnP on both devices might help, as could putting the current VoIP router in the Vonage/Linksys WRTP54G's DMZ. Since you are keeping your current VoIP supplier and the type of ATA/router you are using a secret, there is no way anyone can help you with port forwarding.
