What is the latest digital phone modem being issued by TWC?

Currently, I have the Arris TM502G.

Thanks in advance.

We have a battery backup (What good it does, they hardily ever keep the network LIVE in case the power drops!! (No surprise there))

I know you're a toll but I'll bite anyway. I don't have digital phone, but when I do lose power, my cable connection stays up. I can surf the internet until my UPS discharge, if the power doesn't come back on before then. So there's no reason for me to believe that the same won't be true when I get digital phone.

I also have a UPS and when the electric power goes down, so does my TWC digital phone. When the electricity goes down in my area, the TV, Internet and phone all go down. I also have UPS unit hooked up to my plasma TV. The electricity has gone down twice since I have had TWC digital phone. When this happens, I use my cell phone.

Re: [ VoIP] Latest digital phone modem being issued?

Three years and two weeks ago when the October storm hit, we didn't lose power until around midnight here in Marilla, I didn't get home until almost 1 in the morning that night. I left work to go to the Best Buy in Amherst, this is before the snow started to fly, and it took me almost 6 hours to get back home. Not a fun drive. I made it off the Thruway at the Transit Rd exit within 5 minutes of it being closed. When I got home, my UPS were on their final minute or two and I managed to check my email once right before it died. No electricity from NYSEG, no phone from Verizon, but broadband from Time Warner was all good.

Cell phone is not really an option, I have three cell phones across three different providers, Nextel for personal, AT&T for the iPhone and a work phone through Verizon (barf) and I get zero reception most of the time. Depending where the phones are I may have service with zero to 1 bars which is not good enough to maintain a call. If I go outside however I have full bars on all three phones. I even have full bar 3G on the iPhone. Some of the fastest 3G speeds I've ever seen were from my driveway, but in the house I get zip. And in a situation like we had here three years ago, standing outside to make a call is a little out of the question. I know regular Sprint service sucks here and people with the el cheapo TracFone, Cricket, Blue Wireless and the rest of the no names who've been over have no luck either. T-Mobile is the only cell phone provider that I can't comment on.
