I have the above-mentioned DVR, using it for standard def recording only.

It has stopped recording. I set it to record a certain program and the next day I find that it has not recorded. It has done this several days in a row. It reports it is 75% full, so plenty of room for more recordings.

Also, has anyone determined if an external hard drive can be attached to increase the recording capacity? I've searched the net extensively and not found anything.

go and get a DCX3432 at the local office it has a bigger harddrive 320GB x2 time the DCH3416.

it shouldn't the problem.
