[Other] Onesuite calling card & voip can now call Toll Free numb
I've been making toll free calls all day so I guess its not a glitch. For those who tried before, Onesuite services is blocked from calling a Toll Free number aside from their own Toll Free support. Today, I just noticed that I can call any TF numbers and yes for free.
Not sure when they changed it but it sure works all day today.

Yeah I just tried using Onesuite now for an 800 call and it works. I used their VoIP service and my call went through.

Handy info. Thanks! I've been using Onesuite for years, originally as a calling card and then, for the past 2 years as a VoIP provider. Not at all the cheapest per-minute around, but not bad when you consider that the $2.95/month includes the DID. It has been bullet-proof for me.

Same here, been using Onesuite for quite sometime now. Just to clarify though, you can use Onesuite VoIP to call Toll Free numbers for free but if you use a calling card then regular rates apply.
Though I am not sure why would anyone use a calling card for calling a Toll Free number.

Thanks for the heads up and sharing this info. I'm a long time satisfied Onesuite user too.

In general it would be pretty silly to pay OneSuite to complete a call you can make directly for free.
However, I can think of one special case where it might be useful. Specifically, it might be a way to get around "USA only" restrictions on some toll free number you want/need to call (while outside the US).
For example, I could imagine the need to call a "USA only" toll free number (for example to make hotel reservations for the return trip) while vacationing in Canada. If I called directly, the call would fail in that case (because I would be initiating the call from outside the USA). However, if I called the Canadian OneSuite access number, entered my account and PIN, I might be then able to call the number that way otherwise blocked. Sure, I would pay OneSuite their charges for the call, but I might still be able to make the call.
Of course, I have no way of testing that theory right now, as I'm currently in the USA. And if that worked or not, will likely depend entirely upon what (number and location) OneSuite uses when identifying the "calling party" on a "toll free" call. But it is at least plausible that OneSuite would identify all such calls as coming from the USA vs the actual location/country where the call to OneSuite was initiated from. And if so, than that technique should work to get around the toll free restrictions.
NOTE: Even if OneSuite doesn't directly work to trick "USA only" toll free sites, SIP Broker can be used for this purpose. So you always have the option to use OneSuite to place a toll call to a SIP Broker access number, and then use SIP Broker to complete the "toll free" call...

I've checked Onesuite Terms and Conditions and they took out the restrictions for the 800 numbers.
BTW, excellent scenario Draco. Yes I think this will work but I think I need to ask someone in Canada to test this out for me.

Yes you are right DracoFelis. A friend from U.K. does it all the time. He calls Onesuite access number in U.K. and punch his PIN then call an 800 number in US.

Sipbroker has also supported dialing 800 numbers through any of their worldwide access numbers for ages.
Edit: Doh, tired. Noticed Draco mentioned this in an earlier post.
