[ Aliant] Intermittent Ping Spikes?

So basically here's the dilemma, I'm on bell aliant and from 8pm-3am(Atlantic) I will constantly have ridiculous ping spikes which vary from atleast 800-2000ms and last for a couple minutes before returning to a normal level for a few seconds then spiking again.
I've run diagnostics on my modem while this was occuring and here are the results(Note: I was still able to access the internet when this was taken):

Also I've run a traceroute to www.DSlreports.com a few minutes later:

So basically I'm assuming there is an issue with the remote terminal i'm on? I've tried all of the usual (power cycling, reseting modem etc, changed phone ports, changed wires, even tried using OpenDNS) not to mention I've called my ISP and the tech support I got didn't even know what an OAM segment was.

Direct can't do a lot with Aliant.

Looks like a problem between your router and the BAS at your CO.

Call your ISP. Of course they don[t know what an OAM segment is .... nor do they know what ATM is ...

What they want to know is that you are getting ridiculous pings to your first hop and beyond. They should be able to work that out from diags that they can run. Don't get too technical on a level 1 support tech.

I've contacted them and they've told me that there is nothing else they can do for me(Obviously not true), I even suggested a problem with their remote terminal which they denied.

Did you receive any info on this? I'm also seeing this, although cycling the power on the modem seems to resolve it for me for a few days.

I have had the same problem for the past month or so and have never gotten around to calling a tech as I don't have the time to wait around for a tech right now.

My ping is constantly in the 100+ on a local pingtest.net server, and I cannot play online games like TF2 due to massive 150-600 ping ranges.

It sucks.
