rapidshare download speeds?

pretty much anything during any time i download from rapidshare goes 200-250kb/sec.. is this normal for everyone else? is there a way to speed up the downloads? i already tried downthemall for firefox and it actually made speeds slower..i heard speeds vary by isp's but im not sure..

Do you have a premium account? If not, speeds on rapidshare will suck during peak times. Plus, they cap you at a certain limit for free downloads, though I do not know what that limit is.

Rapidshare Free is capped. Basically, an X amount of bandwidth is allocated to their free product and everyone using it at the time will need to share it.

Not too much you can do about it. If you have a paid premium account..... you know where to complain if it is JUST rapidshare that is slow.

By the way, the fact you whited-out your download name..... tells me yer downloading either pr0n, copyrighted material, or warez. :D :D

I agree with the last user. Since you whited the filename out. Basicly tells everyone your downloading copyrighted material.
