[HSI] Faster download speeds
I have been enjoying the Powrboost option here in STL (5/1mb), but as of last night and now this morning, I am seeing ~9mb down and the 1mb up.
Anyone have any comments or seeing anything similar.
PS, SURE not complaining! :)

Re: [HSI] Faster download speeds
im in st.charles, and since last night-this morning my speeds are terrible, pings and tracerts look ok, but actually loading pages is worse than dial up and pretty spiky, give me back my HS internet!

Re: [HSI] Faster download speeds
Morgan Hill 20Mb advertised speed.
Re-set my Linksys cm100 cable modem two days ago.
Since then I have seen anything from 2Mb the following day to 19.9Mb a few minutes ago.
But I'm afraid I have never had any consistency with my cable internet connection, so it is difficult to be certain if this new methodology is really any good or a possible detriment.

Re: [HSI] Faster download speeds
Me and my friends are seeing 19.7Mbps down. All day here in Shasta Lake, California. I called Charter and asked about it, the rep couldnt tell me everything but they implemented this readyboost or whatever last week. He said the network can sense when you are initiating a large download and will boost your speed a fre mbps so your off the network faster, thus decreasing the latency for everyone else. Makes everything faster. When I said I was getting a 200% increase off my 10mb (now 20) service; he said it shouldnt have been that much faster, only a few mbps :D. He also wouldnt tell me if Charter is going to keep this forever (darn it!) but from how it ounds its going to be permanent. Charter's also booing their MAX service from 20 down 2 up, to 20 down 5 up.

First I heard of the plan jumping from 20mb/2mb to 20mb/5mb Any ETA or if any one knows this is true?
