[Internet] 310-surf now with regular hours, are you kidding me?!
Connection drops for the 2nd time in 2 or 3 weeks so I do the usual routine and steel myself for dealing with the foreigners at bell tech support. Dial it up and waste the normal amount of time winding through the menu and punch in to speak to a person. The recording comes back telling me their customer service hours are monday to friday 8 to 7 and saturdays 9 to 5, nothing mentioned about sundays.
Wait a second...what?
I pay $60+ a month for what?
I'm thinking that I must have made a mistake so I redial and go through the whole mess again. Nope, that's really it.
So Bell, if you're going to offer me discounted service, I want a discounted rate. I keep coming here seeing people complain, and while I have the same misgivings I've never complained about the premium I pay for my ultra-highspeed line. I hate the throttling excuses/lies (manage the network my ass, you're going to stream the entire olympics around the world but torrents are causing you so much network congestion...ya, I'll buy that along with that bridge I own in NY), I hate that they charge me 3x what other ISP's charge but I haven't looked at changing because, well because it's Bell. It's SUPPOSED to be reliable, and when there is a problem I know I can call up technical support and get help at any time, because...they're Bell. They are supposed to be the biggest, with the largest infrastructure and largest team backing them up.
I'm honestly so shocked right now I want to see what other offerings there are. I don't pay $60+ a month SO I CAN CALL THEM WHEN I'M AT WORK DURING THE WEEK!!!!
So, someone tell me, who's out there that offers 24/7 service with a decent rate and speed for 80-100 gig a month max transfer?
Seriously ticked off.

That does seem odd, especially if the service is still provided from India. Local time in Mumbai, India, is 11.5 hours ahead of us.
I'm getting dropouts tonight too; I thought it must be because of my noisy lines (or ghosts!).

Are you sure you hit the right options? Billing (customer service?) had regular hours, while technical support had 24/7 availability.

You are getting redirected by "emily" to the business office support queue - even if you choose Technical support, if your account has a billing issue that the system has caught, it will automatically redirect you to the billing office queue. this could be something as minor as a flag on your account to notify you of your contract expiration coming up.
it does this regardless of if the billing office queue is open or closed.
It's a stupid system, but would you expect anything more from bell?

Cogeco. But it depends on where you are.
This is surprising. As we have learned in here Bell Canada's tech support is really a sales office.
Mission critical is to sell you something when you call in, after you hang up or just randomly. Keeping it open 24/7 seems the logical choice.
Hmmm.... Bell, Logic in the same sentence. Epic Fail.
