[HSI] Port Blocking?
Does any one know if Charter Com. in Rosemount, MN blocks ports? I am trying to set up a Windows home server and I can not get access to work. Port 80, 443 I am wondering about. Thank you.

You cannot run a server on Charters network. It is in the TOS. That is probably why you are having issues.

Re: [HSI] Port Blocking?
charter blocks all the standard server ports on residential service in minnesota. If you sign up for a business account, you can have ports opened up so you can do what you want to do.
if you are doing something for personal use, use a non-standard port like 12000 and you can go to »yourserver:12000

thank you for your help. It just hit me to try the SSH side of things and I got right in. 443 is not blocked, 80 is.
