[IL] Mediacom filtering/throttling?
Has Mediacom turned on some filtering or throttling? Anything downloaded via a Bittorrent client crawls in comparison to what it used to. Speed tests come back OK though..which would lead me to believe they have turned on some filtering and throttling.

Assuming you're downloading legal stuff, Mediacom does NOT throttle or filter p2p (or anything, for that matter). This thread has been repeated over and over.

Yes...I've seen that...yet the last week my download speed has literally halved and won't go above that point. Seems suspiciously clipped.

OK...tuned it a little bit...clipped upload rate...helped, but still doesn't seem to be what it was formerly. Sorry to raise alarm I guess...just seemed to have been an unusual and persistent change in behavior.

There were lots of people involved with this discussion. While it is a little older, it might help you some.

Saw that. Hm...running at half speed again tonight...and it's not a configuration issue this time (on my end anyway).
