HD On Demand with Basic Cable

Does anyone know whether or not it's possible to get an HD box in northeast wisconsin for TW Basic cable. I would like to get the on demand access. I would also like more HD channels and know the QAM gets the over the air channels but we get some extra channels (over and above the basic package) I know it's 7 bucks a month or so for box rental. Would it be possible to get the box with just a basic package?

I know how unnecessary it sounds but someone please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Re: HD On Demand with Basic Cable

Check to see what the minimum digital cable package actually costs. In my case, "Basic Cable", in other words only analog, costs $58.

The Digital Cable package, which includes Basic Cable + 1 tier, costs $50.45 and comes with all the VoD stuff plus all the HD channels of channels you have in the Basic Cable package and the tier you chose. Then, you pay abouy $7 for the digital box equipment.

In essense Digital Cable actually costs you about the SAME as analog here, and you get all the HD goodness with it.
