Re: bell hspa coverage
Their website (as shown through the history of the forum for the past 4-years, and bells own forum that they deleted twice) will always say you are in coverage when you are 300-km out of coverage.
Bell is a sack of poop and lies. A sale is all that matters to them.
Gimme your candy.

Wow not much HSPA+ coverage in Ontario or Quebec (head slightly North and nada), but Alberta is painted red.

Slightly north? I'd say it's at least better than Rogers offerings for their high speed wireless network.

I believe that the HSPA only zones will very soon become HSPA+. It's probably that they had limited time because they moved up the rollout by 3 months so they couldn't do the testing and validation for + in time outside of a limited number of cities. All the equipment is software and hardware capable of HSPA+.

New Brunswick is painted RED :)
We're very fortunate in NB.
HSPA+ everywhere
FTTH
No throttling
No caps
Life is great!!

Thank Aliant; though BCE pulls 65% of their strings, they (Aliant) seem to operate at an entirely different level then Bell. While Bell is throttling the rest of Canada, raising pricing, lowering caps and related mayhem, Bell Aliant is deploying fibre and not pissing off their customer base.

Aliant also invests appropriately in their infrastructure, unlike Bell who is spending every penny on crappy marketing.
