Did Suddenlink steal our bandwidth?
I live in one of the so called rural areas serviced by suddenlink (the ones that didn't receive the upgrade to the 8m/768k). My speeds have always been acceptable, even in prime time evenings, usually a rock solid 4m to 5m Dl. Since the other areas received their upgrade, my speeds in the evenings are quite dismal, sometimes not even 1m Dl, however upload remains constant at 256.
I have noticed in the early morning hours, my speeds are back to normal, guess because everyone else is asleep. It never used to be like this! Is our area suddenly oversold, or is SL "stealing" some of our bandwidth the appease the more lucrative markets in prime time? :(

Probably your area is oversold. You can only slit 38 Mbps so many ways before things get congested, and SL may not have the backhaul for more than that.

Generally most areas have their own backhaul. So it's not likely ( but possible ) that those other areas are affect you. More thank likely you have a service issue at your house, in your area, or your node or the backhaul for your town is not enough.
