[TWC] Weird internet connection? (Corpus Christi)

My connection seems to be fin and i recently updated to Road Runner turbo, but when i try to stream a video from youtube it takes forever to finish. I also play World of Warcraft and my latency is fine and i get disconnected for no reason. Any ideas why or any directions I could get pointed to?

Make sure you check for browser hijacks and other viruses. A lot of time people have them and dont know it.

Sometimes the browser hijacks use a lot of bandwidth, as well as some viruses.

Have you tried to ping anything to see if you have any packet loss?

I just upgraded to Windows 7 a fresh install, I was having the slow youtube problem before (metacafe works just fine, as well as hulu and others) I still have slow loading of youtubes to the extreme that I have to wait for them to load before watching.

this only leaves 2 possiblilites
1. Youtube's servers are overloaded (very unlikely)
2. Man in the middle throttling by time warner.

It might not actually be the youtube video, but rather waiting for the ads on the web page to load before the video starts.

the loading bar on the video "loads" slow, so I don't think it has anything to do with the ads on the page.
