NEW VOD Coming VERY SOON..

Hi All,

Sorry on the Delay on this, We hit a few snags in getting Showtime HD launched but we are very close.

I wanted everyone to be aware that in the next few days we will be launching Showtime HD content on our RCN VOD platform. The Content will launch in the HD on Demand Folder for right now and eventually it will be double mapped in the Showtime Folder as well.

Even more exciting is the upcoming launch of Tuner Networks on VOD which will include

TNT
TBS
Cartoon Network
Adult Swim
truTV
Boomerang

The Turner content will launch under a main menu item called Primetime Network TV.

This is great RCNMAN,
Will other content, such as ABC or NBC also move to that Primetime Network?

Yeah, I'd love to see all the TV content easily listed in a separate area. It's sometimes hard to find/remember where all this stuff is!

This is good to hear!

How is the development of the VOD application for the RCN TiVo boxes coming along? Will it be available at launch? I can't wait!

Agreed. This is one area where, IMO, Comcast has an advantage over RCN. I think that their organization of VOD content is more organized, and easier to find.

Also, rcnman, while you're at it -- would it be possible to move the "Special Interests" further away from the "Kids" folder? Sometimes the reaction time of the box to the remote is a little slow, and I sometimes press the down arrow one too many times...

nice to finally get Showtime on Demand HD...Turner also is a nice addition...any plans on adding HBO on Demand HD?...that would be pretty sweet

ShoHD is live here. Movie selection is weak though, but I guess that's SHO's shortcoming, not RCNs.

Glad to see the Series in HD on demand. LOVE Weeds!

Good News :

ENCORE VOD is coming to RCN VOD.
ENCORE HD as well.

You should start to see content on 11/20

Content will live in :

Premium Movie Channels --> Encore

and the HD Encore Content will be double mapped to the HD on Demand Folder as well.

Again you must get the Encore Linear channel to access the VOD Content.

Excellent news!

Question: Is the Primetime Network TV menu going to be limited to Turner content or can we expect to see all the networks eventually in the folder?

I'm seeing the Primetime Network TV folder listed but I don't see any Turner networks...all I get in that folder is Bravo, Syfy, NBC, Oxygen and USA
