[GA] A lot of Modem Reboots

I have been experiencing a lot of modem reboots and disconnects lately. I spoke with a friend of mine that lives down the road, and he is having the same problems. We are in the North Warner Robins area. Anyone else having problems?

SB 6120 Modem
No reboots, but intermittently lousy DMS service. It seems that the network is momentairly loosing a connection during data transfer (several seconds to a few minutes) The transfer may resume, or an error message from the brouser in use may be generated. Again, this sort of thing started after Cox pulled "maintainance" on the local area system. Speed test results are generally good. I generally am connected through one of two Cox "nodes/routers". One has, in the past, (2007) shown similar problems. It seems like Cox gets things working reasonably well, then the wee hours shift comes in and screws things up.

To the best of my knowledge, the firmware is current as of last month, when I checked for any updates. I have no idea what cox downloaded into the modem.

SB6120-1.0.1.7-SCM00-NOSH
Boot Version: PSPU-Boot 1.0.0.4m1
Hardware Version: 1.0

Check with CoxTech1 to see if there is a new firmware available in your area. I'm at 1.0.2.0 and haven't had any issues since the push

Re: [GA] A lot of Modem Reboots

I'm not sure if firmwares are specific to what DOCSIS version your area is using but I'm in New Orleans and we aren't D3 yet. When I first set up my 6120 with Cox it had firmware v1.0.1.8 on it. Cox bumped it back to v1.0.1.7 within a day and its steady at that. I have the same boot and hardware version that you have as well. If your friend near you is having the same problem, I doubt its a problem with your specific modem. Does he also have a 6120? I would check with CoxTech1 to see if they are doing system maintenance, upgrades, or something else in your area as well.
