wet to dry loop

i am not ready to do this yet, i am simply informing myself,:)
can i go from a wet to dry loop with no service interruptions?
can my dry be set up while i am still using my original account , and let that account be active until my dry line has sync?
thank you for the help in advance:)

Re: wet to dry loop

There was no service interruption when i moved from one
city to another, i suppose it's even simpler with two lines
in the same house!

Nothing is ever truly simple when Bell is involved. ;)

Also, its not 2 lines persay, that is where the question comes in, it would be a dry loop on the same line ( other pair)

lol sorry for the questions

Re: wet to dry loop

For me two pairs means two lines but maybe my personal
experience doesn't apply well to this case. I must confess
still fail to understand why there should be a delay if your
access is due to be opened soon enough. I'm sure others
will provide more factual advice though.

Re: wet to dry loop

I don't know about Bell, but with Telus I switched from wet to dry and service disruption was unavoidable for the fact that the wet line has to be canceled prior to activating a dry line on the same line. If there are ports available the disruption could be fairly short, however if there's a waiting list for ports in your area, you'll lose the port you were on and have to wait days to regain service.

Phone up TSI, they'll be able to explain this to you in detail. Again, this is with Telus, Bell may be a bit different, I don't know, so phone in.
