What is this I hear about 16/1? is everyone getting it? whos been upgraded? when it it being upgraded? is it happening? i just read a post about it, im just wondering of its gonna be a standard upgrade. i have standard 6000/384 cable right now...

EVERYONE has it except you! :D Sorry, couldn’t resist. Comcast is running a trial of 16/1 in the Reston, VA area. No word yet on when (or speed) nationwide deployment will occur.

Any educated guesses on what this tier will cost or do they plan on upgrading everyone to 16/1 across the board like they did for the 3 to 6 Mbps upgrade?

I'm in the same area/market as you.

Historically, we seem to be one of the later markets that sees upgrades. Although I'd like to be wrong, all the other upgrades have had us in the last few, rather than the first few, and I've never seen us "beta" any new speeds, ever.

Everyone wasn't upgraded from 3 to 6 mbit. Only those that subscribe to another of Comcasts services has that free upgrade. I only have Comcast for HSI, so I'm still at the 4/384 speed.
