speed burst means kaka to me i want to know when the new speeds are going to hit.every other cable co went ahead and are offering over 20-30 meg down and 1-5 megs up wheres comcast new offers gawd i wished i had more choices.

No speed upgrade unless you live in a FIOS area. If FIOS is available expect these upgrades if not already available.

Silver to 6/768Kbps
Gold to 16/1Mbps

In none FIOS areas Comcast has no plans on upgrading anytime soon. If you don't like it Comcast has 2 words for you SUCK IT!!

No they didn't. Only cable companies in areas with Verizon FiOS upped their speeds to match or beat FiOS speeds. If you live in, say SBC territory, then you have the normal speeds they advertise.

well, people on here have said they've heard many different things from different techs so i wouldn't take this too seriously-let's hope for an upgrade by 2007! :D and probably 2008 in california :p

Well, that's certainly "every other cable company".. and cablevision is what # cable company? I know comcast is #1, Time Warner is #2, Cablevision is #?

Further, CV OOL is not offering it in every system they have anyway.

So, I can certainly see how this is "every other cable system"...

On the other hand, those who are signed up on promo packages do not always get the speed upgrades (they only get the promo package speed that they signed up for). ;)
