alias after migration
Can anyone who has already migrated please confirm for sure that email aliases do, or do not migrate along with the email addresses they're for?
I've always used the alias for my main account, so it's a real pain if they mess this up for me.
I got the migration notification today, but plan on just letting it happen instead of doing it myself.
Thanks!

Re: alias after migration
I have no inside information on the current status of email aliases when migrating to the ATT/Yahoo platform.
FWIW:
Several months ago when I migrated my att.net and bellsouth.net accounts to the ATT/Yahoo platform, email accounts with aliases could not be migrated. I had to delete the aliases on the accounts that had them before I could migrate to the ATT/Yahoo platform. After that process was finished, I was then able to setup the aliases again. Of course, there was/is a possibility that the alias email address(es) could have been grabbed by someone else during the transition period, so there is no guarantee that what I did will always work.

Re: alias after migration
When I migrated, alias accounts were lost. In order to migrate I had to delete the aliases first. I did migrate all sub accounts without a problem so I just let the aliases die since they were used for general sites that could become spam and were designed to delete them as needed.

Re: alias after migration
Yes - Alias is definitly part of the migration. You will still be able to use your alias after the upgrade.

Thanks all!
LTD... So I don't have to do anything except let ATT migrate me over whenever they plan to and the alias will move with it?
That's great news.
