Its hard to believe it has been 5 years. I think that is a record for me (prodigy->...->mindspring->earthlink....->dslextreme).

But, since I am being force to a plan not supporting static IPs: »Mandatory account update -- NO static IPs for residential :(
I don't really have a choice.

It is with regret that I have selected another provider, ironically enough, COVAD - to whom DSL Extreme, for whatever reason (they're not saying) refused to move my service to.

As soon as the new line is operational, I'll be wishing y'all the best and riding into the sunset... Cross you fingers for me getting a relatively painless install :)

At least I have my own domain, and will be spared the horrors of email/web migrations -- a small consolation for the dramatically higher prices I'll be paying for bandwidth :(
